1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the App and you confirm that you are when you sign up. The App is for personal, non-commercial use.
2. What the App is
Poise provides social-confidence challenges, progress tracking, optional AI-powered practice features, and optional community features. It is a self-improvement and wellbeing tool.
3. Not medical, psychological, or professional advice
The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not a substitute for professional care. If you are experiencing significant anxiety, distress, or a mental-health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or, if you may be in danger, your local emergency services or a crisis helpline. You use the App's content at your own discretion.
4. Your conduct and real-world safety (please read carefully)
The App encourages real-world interactions with other people. You are solely responsible for your own conduct and safety, and you agree that:
- you will act lawfully, respectfully, and consensually at all times;
- you will not harass, intimidate, stalk, deceive, coerce, or pressure anyone, and you will respect when someone is not interested;
- you will use your own judgement about where, when, and with whom you interact, and take sensible precautions for your safety;
- you will not use the App to facilitate any unlawful, dangerous, or harmful activity.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume all risks arising from your real-world interactions, and we are not responsible or liable for the conduct of you or any third party, or for anything that happens during or as a result of activities you choose to undertake.
5. Your data and device
The App does not require you to create an account or log in. Your progress and preferences are stored locally on your device. You can erase them at any time using Reset in the App, or by deleting the App. If you have a question about your data, contact us at valentino7007@gmail.com.
6. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
Some features require a paid subscription ("Poise Premium").
- Billing through Apple. Purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account. Current prices and plan lengths are shown in the App before you buy.
- Auto-renewal. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your App Store account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Managing and cancelling. You manage and cancel your subscription in your device's App Store account settings, not within the App.
- Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies and your statutory rights. We generally cannot issue refunds directly.
- Price changes. We may change subscription prices; changes apply to future billing periods and, where required, we will notify you and obtain consent.
7. Community content and conduct
If the App includes community features, the following apply.
- Your content. You are responsible for what you post. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute that content within the App to operate the service.
- Prohibited content. You must not post anything that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, exploitative of minors, defamatory, deceptive, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.
- No tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You can report content and block users using the in-App tools. We review reports and may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts, generally within 24 hours of a valid report. - No expectation of privacy in posts. Community posts are visible to others (on an anonymised basis); do not post anything you want to keep private.
8. Acceptable use of the App
You agree not to: reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the App; interfere with its operation or security; use it to break the law; scrape or harvest data; or misrepresent your identity.
9. Intellectual property
The App and its content (excluding your content) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App under these Terms. You keep ownership of the content you create.
10. Third-party services
The App relies on third-party services (including Apple, payment and analytics providers, and AI providers). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.
11. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that it will produce any particular result.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your real-world interactions. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the App, your content, your real-world conduct, or your breach of these Terms.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the App or other users. You may stop using the App and erase your data at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. 11–13) will survive.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales, without limiting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version with a new date and, for material changes, notify you in the App. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

18. Additional terms for Apple devices (App Store EULA addendum)
These terms apply when you use the App on an Apple device. You acknowledge that:
- These Terms are between you and Poise only, not Apple, and we (not Apple) are solely responsible for the App and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App.
- If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to any warranty are our responsibility.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product-liability, legal/regulatory, and consumer-protection claims.
- If a third party claims the App infringes their intellectual-property rights, we (not Apple) are responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as "terrorist-supporting," and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.
- You must also comply with applicable third-party terms (e.g. your wireless carrier's terms) when using the App.
